16 Indian Institutes In Top 200 BRICS Ranking

India has made it to third rank on the newest list of the Times Higher Education BRICS and Emerging Economies Rankings, after China and Taiwan. 16 Indian Institutes are in the top 200 list of BRIC. While Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru ranked at 16th position in this list. JNU, India’s one of the biggest University is not even is the list.

According to IAN’s reports, IISc at Bengaluru was trailed by the IIT-Bombay. IIT Bombay was ranked 29th in the list. This Summit held at OP Jindal Global University.

China has 39 institutes in the list of top 200 while Taiwan has 24 institutes in top 200 list. And with the 16 colleges India secured the third Position in the list. “It is good news for India that 16 of its institutions feature in this year’s list of the best universities in the BRICS nations and emerging economies,” Phil Baty (editor Times Higher Education World University Rankings) said at the event.

The International Institute for Higher Education Research and Capacity Building (IIHEd) of OP Jindal Global University has united with Times Higher Education for the BRICS.
