Sports is an inseparable part of Indian education : –

Chief Minister Of Jammu & Kashmir “Mufti Mohammad Sayeed” Described Sports as an Important Part of education. He said focus on extra-curricular should be realistic.

The Minister said “Our children are blessed with great talent. It is imperative that the heads of the educational institutions provide them a platform to display their skills.” The Chief Minister Announced funds for Youth Services and Sports Department and he emphasized upon the importance of sports in overall personality development of the children.

Now days Sports has receiving the least attention in Schools. So Honorable Minister ordered immediate restoration of playgrounds and playfields for Sporting Activities. He said there is a need to create a very conducive and healthy atmosphere in sports arena so that we can produce many more Pervez Rasools.

In Near Future South Kashmir Sports Festival organized by J&K Police, will be a 15-day event, in which Candidates of four districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam will compete with each other in various sports.
